Cocina del Mundo , or Kitchen of the World . Our song lyrics are socially and environmentally conscious...and all inclusive.
Our music is completely original. Our following transcends the generations, representing age groups from teens to those in their sixties!

Nicaraguan singer, songwriter and multiinstrumentalist Saul Rayo, has a lifelong career in the music industry, writing more than 350 songs., some for the Warner Brothers in Nashville...Saul was collaborating musically with Russell Smith of the Legendary Rhythm Aces, John Hammond Jr., Joan Baez, Randy Travis, Roger Hodgson(from Supertramp), Utah Phillips and many more. Saul Rayo and Cocina del Mundo have shared the stage with Steve Kimock, Joe Craven, the David Grisman Quartet, The Jerry Garcia Band, The Flying Other Brothers, Alasdair Fraser, The Fareed Haque Group, Melvin Seals, Leon Russell, Jesse Colin Young, Particle, Hamsa Lila, Clan Dyken, just to name a few...
Saul Rayo and Cocina del Mundo have played at the Oregon Country Fair, the Trinity Tribal Stomp, the Whole Earth Festival, the Monterey Strawberry Festival, the California World Music Festival, the American River Confluence Festival, Ridgestock Music Festival at diverse Street Fairs, Wine and Art Festivals etc.
Saul Rayo's Band, Cocina del Mundo ("Kitchen of the world") is a multicultural, multinational orchestra ensemble of highly talented musicians... their style is a very tasty mix of ingredients like African, Latin American, Cuban, Funk, Soul, Backporch Blues,Folk, Native American, Tribal Music, Jazz, Jamrock and anything in between...it's hard to categorize...so they call it "Bukramuzik" (which means "Bukra" : of unknown origin...)
At a typical Saul Rayo and Cocina del Mundo performance the place is sold out and everybody is dancing, but Saul and the Kitchen also can bring it way down and explore new musical horizons... one of them their famous Saul Rayo and Cocina del Mundo Orchestra Gala Performance, which was a mix of Saul Rayo Tunes with a Classical Orchestra...Famous and also acclaimed for were their highly successful and sold out Tribute Shows, like Saul Rayo and Cocina del Mundo at their Paul Simon Tribute Show, or their latest Van Morrison Tribute Show...
